Allow Dogs on Leads on Mooloolaba Beach Qld Australia

As a dog lover, and tax payer, I used to really enjoy taking my dogs on the lead along the beach in beautiful Mooloolaba. We always walked on the lead, away from the flags and it was a really joyful time for my dogs and myself. I have returned from time away to find that no dogs are allowed on the whole stretch of beach at all. I am really outraged. Dog owners are tax payers and deserve to enjoy the beach with their beloved companions. I absolutely agree with not going in between the flags, not letting the dogs off the lead, and cleaning up after your dog, but I do not agree with not allowing dogs on Mooloolaba beach at all. Increase fines for dogs off leads and for not cleaning up after dogs, but don't penalise dog lovers for wanting to walk on the beach. There are hardly any areas now that allow dogs on the beach and there is no real evidence why. Dogs are an important part of people's lives, they bring such joy, increase exercise and decrease stress. Australia are getting a name for being very anti-dog and wanting no inconvenience or animals anywhere which is embarrassing.
