Since August of 2020 our licensed daycare provider Ms. Nadine of Blue Star Little Wonders has been providing the type of quality care that new and seasoned parents can only dream of having for their little ones. If you are a parent you know the fear and stress associated with finding a loving space for your child to spend their days while you are away at work.

Nadine has been the epitome of love and nurturing growth for our local South Haven/Glenn families and over the course of a year she has become family to each of us and our children.

In June 2021, her property owners association declared that she was running a commercial business out of her home and required that she cease and desist her small in-home operation due to high density traffic and nuisance ordinances held by the association. Our children are devastated and in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic Nadine's Blue Star Little Wonders families are left without care for their children.

Nadine has asked for a waiver from the Sunset Shore Property Association, Inc. asking that she be allowed to continue her operation of 1-6 children in the heart of the South Haven community.

The concerns of the association included public use of the private drive located in the community as well as the private beach access. Nadine has agreed to provisions that prevent any of these exceptions and now we need the help of our fellow community members to convince the Property Owners Association that our children are not only not a nuisance to their community but that Nadine is helping us to raise future community advocates who care about our lakeshore and the people in it.

Please, help Nadine keep her livelihood and help our children keep their caregiver who they've grown to love and adore!
