Sunderland City Council Buy The Savoy Land through Compulsory Purchase

I propose that Sunderland City Council acquire the site of the former Savoy Bingo Hall for the redevelopment of a Southwick Day Centre/Community Centre with two minibus parking areas at rear.
Include Reception, small meeting rooms, Toilets, Babychanging, kitchen, large Multipurpose Area with tables, chairs. These facilities to be accessible for the elderly people of Southwick for Socialising, Tea Dances/Occupational Therapy, by day, and as a Community Centre Sport Hall for all by night.
I will look to seek the National Lottery and private investors to be involved in this as a Charity also to ensure it keeps going and has always funding.
To liaise with Northumbria Police and Project Leaders to tackle the youth offending in Southwick and areas, by directing them into organised sports, to build self esteem, encourage team work and aspire to become good citizens.
