Stop Sundance Cell Tower
Why this petition matters
Radio Frequency Radiation is absorbed and accumulates in the Human Body. Cell phones and Cell Towers emit radiation.
The most vulnerable are Children, Pregnant Women and the Environmentally Sensitive.
The proven health effects from Wireless Technology and Wireless Devices include - “Cancer and Permanent DNA damage, Depression,Anxiety, Diabetes, Insomnia, Headaches, Fatigue, Heart Palpitations, Heart Arrythmia, Infertility, Tingling or Numbness, Tinnitus". One study, from the U.S. National Toxicology Program, showed rats exposed to very high levels of electromagnetic radiation developed tumors.
Hundreds of Children will be exposed and at risk - Kindergarten to Grade 9 - when they attend Father James Whelihan School - directly across the street from the Telus proposed that a Cell Tower at the corner of Sunmills Drive and Sunbank Road.
On nice days throughout the year you might see your son or daughter having lunch, riding a bike, leaning against the Towers security fence or bouncing a ball off it with friends at the proposed site.
The Tower itself will not indicate that it may be harmful, it will be marked with a Cross and to many appear as a part of the St.Paul's Anglican church property.
I attended the Telus meeting concerning this Cell Tower. I asked the right questions.
Can you guarantee that my son and I will be safe ? Did you notify the parents of the children attending the school ? That our home will remain financially secure and not decline in value as a result of our proximity to the Tower ? Were employees at the mini-mall right there notified?
The answer was NO.
Citizens, residents and property owners in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the US, are all so concerned that they are opposing the installation of these Cell Towers.
As the parent of a healthy and developing 11yr old child, concerned with the health of the children and people in my community, I say " STOP the SUNDANCE CELL TOWER"
Please support your friends, neighbours and the children of our communities, stand with us to say No.
