It's unfair. Everyone must have access to organizing.

Retired Boston Public School music teacher and active member of the Boston Teachers Union, AFT-AFL-CIO here. Always good to see charter school teachers fighting for their rights. The BTU has over the last few years, rather than simply anathematizing charter schools, has helped to organize several in the Boston area and welcomed their teachers into the union, thus moving towards eliminating one of the prime motives for the impetus toward privatization of public education: the opportunity presented to cut the cost of educating our children by exploiting charter school teachers as a source of cheap labor.

I’m signing because teachers have a right to organize. They have one of the most important jobs in the world. Teachers deserve to have respect and the ability to fight for the rights.
