Sign the petition to show Sulpher Mayor Mike Danahay how important it is to you that the residents of Sulphur, LA have access to clean, safe drinking water. Our goal is to meet with the City Council/Mayor to make changes in Sulphur. Our additional goals for this campaign include presenting the water testing results at a city council meeting along with this petition. By mid-March, we want to push for Lead and Copper levels to be submitted to the EPA. We are also interested in applying for WIIN Grants, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, or Clean Water State Revolving Fund Application to fund our project if the community is interested. Our long term goal is to get clean water to the residents of Sulphur as soon as possible, whether this means finding funding for having water delivered straight to residents or water filtration systems installed in individual homes until the issue is solved on a larger scale. We won't hesitate to attempt to attract national news attention if necessary. Our ultimate goal is completing the installation of a new water Filtration system for the people of Sulphur, LA. If we can acheive our goal, we are ultimately hoping to raise the Louisiana department of health’s clean drinking water standard additionally. Thank you for your interest and support!
