2013 is the ten year anniversary of the conflict in Sudan and sadly, it would seem that history is repeating itself. The atrocities that have been taking place in Darfur are now also being seen in Nuba Mountains, Kordofan and the Blue Nile as millions suffer from daily airstrikes and forced starvation. This year is an opportune time to take a stand and remind the Australian public, government and the international community that silence and inaction is not an option and we must uphold the international community’s commitment to “never again”.
