Management of Peter Cooper Village/Stuyvesant Town pride themselves on being a 'pet-friendly community' in their marketing materials and have made some efforts to accommodate the needs of pet parents such as providing pet waste bags and occasional dog events but more can be done to address the needs of the community. The tenants of this community would like to engage Management and the Tenants Association in a discussion about possible improvements to the grounds/programming that would allow for dog friendly areas, the possibility of creating an off-leash dog enclosure, and/or extending the time/frequency of 'dog days' so it is more than a short time on the weekends.

Allowing for more dog specific areas will create socialization opportunities for our pups, greater sense of community and promote the well-being for both owners and pups alike!
