Being a part of student government has greatly aided me in refining my leadership skills, and now that I have the opportunity to serve as sophomore president, I will do everything in my power to support the school. What is going on at school has sparked my interest, and I would like to be a part of the decisions made by students, teachers, and staff. I am well aware of the extent of the commitments I will be responsible for if I undertake this role, and I am prepared for them. My previous experience involves working as a secretary in middle school, where I was recognized for important skills such as note-taking, being attentive to students and their behavior, resolving student conflicts, and so on.

As well as development for the school, I believe this position will also lead to self-development and growth. Being elected will make me an advocate and allow me to speak on behalf of my peers. This will help me improve my public speaking skills while also providing me with more experience. I'm ecstatic to be given this opportunity to learn new things, and I'm eager to learn as much information as possible. All of the knowledge I've gathered would be beneficial to me in the short and long term.

My ideas for sophomore president would be topics the students feel strongly about and would like recognized. Gender awareness, pronoun awareness, and sexuality awareness are only a few examples. Additionally, activities within the school, such as competitions, provide students with some time off. In light of the current situation, I propose that more office hours be established for students to catch up on work.
