Freshman class Students started this petition to Students

TW(talk of food):

The goal of this petition is to hopefully replace the non factual documentary shown to 14-15 year old girls in health class. It focused on unhealthy eating habits throughout the United States and it stated, “You may not be obese on the outside, but you could be obese on the inside.”, which is a horrible thing to show to teens, and is one of the many triggering quotes shown. It was made in 2010 and used to be on Netflix until it was taken off due to inaccurate information. Although the intentions of the documentary was good, the execution was horrible, about food promoting people to not eat or to cut to very low calorie diets. In the paper we got in class it said to drink water so you do not have to eat and others like very small dinner portions at restaurants. Promoting not eating is not okay and it should not be promoted. Teenagers struggle with self-confidence and body image in the society standards today. As students we think that they should remove the documentary and add a new accurate documentary. Sign this petition so that the new freshman class can watch a documentary that does not leave them feeling the way some of our class did; upset, self-conscious, confused, and feeling that anything we eat will make us obese.
