Parent Students are being forced off their Child tax credits and apparently meant to be getting this rolled into one from Universal Credit. In the old system parent still received their tax credits regardless of the student finance loan. Under the new scheme Universal Credit takes away the whole amount of your student loan and even down to your grant which is meant to help towards the extra travel to lessons, study sessions, books, stationary, and educational aids needed to study. Not only are the parents juggle parenting and trying to better their life with additional studying to grow a successful career and better their self, they are condemned by the government system into poverty instead of being commended for their courage and vision of enhancement. Universal Credit is not being calculated accordingly to allow for the extra spending needed for our studies. So what is the point of the student loan and grant? To break and demoralise the parent population trying to show their children ambition and trying to providea better life? We need a re-evaluation! Please help by supporting this petition.
