High Schools need to have a Financial Literacy class. Don't you think it's weird that High Schools have electives for Art, Cooking, Weight Lifting, Piano, and more extra curricular activities but don't even have a single class for financial literacy. About sixty three percent of working americans live paycheck to paycheck. That means that half the kids in your highschool classes will be living paycheck to paycheck on average. Everyone loves money and everyone wants money but most people don't even know how to use money. With Financial Literacy added to the High School education curriculum students will be more prepared for financial decisions which will benefit them to become financially stable and independent. Ask yourself how many friends you know that have had a kid when they don't even have enough income to take care of themselves? How many friends do you have that are buying a brand new car, new iphone, new clothes, or monthly subscriptions to streaming services when they don't even have the money to be doing so. You do not want to be like your friend who ended up in debt or living paycheck to paycheck after not being able to pay back his student tuition loans, car payments, mortgage, or taxes all because you were never taught Financial Literacy.
