We are here to refer the notice no Reg/notify/156/344 dated on 02/02/2022 addressed to the students to appear for offline classes from 03-02-2022. There has been a sudden rise in room rent as all students are pouring into. Most of the landlords are asking for 1 year contract and the rent is very high. They are demanding very high room rent , which we cannot bargain, having a language barrier. Many of our guardians are concerned about the safety of girl students. As other universities have opened their hostels for student, Visva Bharati being a central university should act promptly.
So there's a great difficulty for us to find the accommodation in this short period of time. Following are our demands ---
1.Start hostel allotment process for MSc 1st sem students as early as possible.
2.For hostel allotment girl students must be given priority.
3.Online classes should be continued further till hostels open.
