Compensation for the students affected by the UCU strikes.

While many students are supportive of the strikes being put forward by UCU members, most are vastly more frustrated that they - the students - are subject to the fallout. The employers are responsible for the action, and yet only students appear to genuinely be losing anything.

We are not only losing out on a potentially significant period of our education (which we have worked hard to deserve) but we are also not being compensated!

A great many students have been informed that the module subjects being neglected will not be put into examinations, but this doesn't accommodate for the loss to our education.

A great many students have been told that "alternative" measures will be taken to ensure their education (such as previous/outdated lecture videos being published) but this will not account for the loss of our much needed seminars, workshops, or other teacher-led course requirements.

If we are to be put out of our education against our will for a number of weeks, we expect to have the value of these days removed from our student loans by the employers (the universities) as it is wrong that we should be forced to pay for an education we are simply not getting.
