This week alone, there have been 2 incidents where peoria students were tragically murdered. most notably, these children have been killed by others around the same age, others around OUR age. Others that attend OUR schools. I fear for the safety of my peers. We Shouldn't have to worry about our safety at school. All of us know that the security at Richwoods is far from acceptable.

    Some of us remember the incident a few years ago when a grenade was brought into school and was found in a student's locker, some may remember a few years ago when a student brought realistic pellet guns to school.

    "That stuff happens to other places, it would never happen here" is a popular mentality when it comes to situations like this. but this mentality is far from the truth. Our class of 2018 tried to make their voices heard about the lack of security at school and little changes were made. I aim to change that outcome in our school for the better but i need your help.

    We will be holding a peaceful protest in the back gym on November 11th during 5C Lunch. I will be Talking with Carly Emken about safety measures at school.
