Every Wednesday on the morning announcements at Havre de Grace High School, our tech director plays jazz music over the speakers, broadcasting to the whole school. We call it “jazzy Wednesdays.” However, we, the crew of the morning announcements, believe that every Wednesday, we should play the popular band Weezer over the speakers. Not only is the music good, but it’s more recognizable and more energetic, causing students to gain motivation to conquer their day. The crew of the Havre de Grace high school morning announcements will not tolerate the tyrannical reign of the tech director. We demand #weezerwednesdays.
