Due to Covid-19, the management at Colaiste Pobail Setanta have decided to not allow lockers to be used by students this year. The same decision was made last year and I believe that it had a negative impact. As a sixth year student, I am expected to bring textbooks, copies, exam papers and personal stationary to school every day. This requirement is not realistic and unsustainable as the year progresses and pressure is increased during the leaving certificate course. Lockers are essential for all students, especially exam years. I refuse to believe that there is nothing that can be done to allow for this necessity. 6th year is already a challenging year for us students and we do not need to carry this burden.
