Our Chrome in our school laptops should have an option to turn off restricted mode on YouTube. Restricted mode makes YouTube useless, especially when you try to find videos containing content to help you at school. Restricted mode also disables the use of comments, which is a bummer.

In Safari, you can exploit all of this. I don't get why Chrome has restricted mode and why Safari doesn't. What does restricted mode do? What does it gain from students if they can just go to Safari and look up videos restricted by Chrome? It's just a massive waste of time.

YouTube should have an "On, Off" button, but it doesn't. School Laptops removed that.

The only problem I have with this is, "Why restrict it when you can just go to Safari?" It's a total joke! If restricted mode is gone in Chrome, maybe my PowerPoint videos will work when I press play. Sure, kids may go on YouTube and watch videos not related to anything about school, but they have phones! Phones! Students can just use them to watch their own YouTube videos! Why not just leave chrome restricted, then, you ask? As stated earlier, it helps when you're watching a graphic part of history and watching it. Another reason why this should not be restricted is because it can help students with other personal goals. Students without phones like me can watch things they want to watch to achieve their personal goals and not go to Safari and burn out their laptop battery.

Another reason why Chrome should not restrict YouTube videos is that other website uses YouTube videos. These YouTube videos may be "graphical" and "not safe" for students. There goes your visual representation of the article you're reading.
