Students at MS210Q who are in-person currently have something called a “working lunch.” This means that students do not have a lunch period and are eating inside the classroom while learning. This is unfair to both students and teachers. Students need a break too. When students are online or have a asynchronous day in school, they are given a lunch period so why don’t they have one in an actual school. I understand that due to the pandemic certain guidelines need to go into effect but something must be done. A working lunch is not okay. How are students supposed to focus in class while they are eating? A school day with no breaks can embed mental health issues such as anxiety and stress which many young children now endure. Help me help our kids and sign this petition so our children can get a lunch period!
