With due respect, We are writing this request application to bring your kind attention towards a very serious concern which all of your obedient students of NED have related to conducting of exams physically for this semester, since the students strongly believe that this will significantly impact their final academic results.

Karachi is facing a very disaster wave of covid-19 and Delta variant which is spreading faster. The ratio of cases in Karachi has increased up to 30% which is really an alarming situation for us.

There are certain other issues which are being faced by students. As you may be aware, most of the students and their families are suffering from COVID due to which their studies are highly affected. Most of the students of NED University are also COVID positive in today's date.  

A/c to SINDH GOVERNMENT, educational institutions of those areas will remain close where COVID ratio is more than 5% but Karachi is facing more than 30% ratio. Cases are increasing day by day, so how's it possible for students to give physical exams which is highly risky.

Moreover, due to COVID situation, students are being taught online and burdenized with compensatory classes whole day. We are sitting in front of gadgets whole day, and don't have time to study those uploaded lectures. Moreover, we have to watch all the lectures in video format everytime, therefore sir please tell us that how could we manage to prepare and then revise such courses having around 40-45 minutes,l video lectures, and each subject having 3-4 videos per day.

Lastly, as you will appreciate, it is a well-known fact that corona virus and it's new form DELTA VARIANT is spreading much faster that hundreds of corona cases are reported on daily basis. In view of this, most of parents are hesitant to send their children back to the University and therefore it may be possible that those parents may not send their children for physical exams which will affect those students’ final academic results. It is submitted that conducting final exams physically for this semester may put lives of numerous students in danger. If God forbid, during the physical exams any of the student contacts corona virus (which is highly likely given that the corona virus spreads more quickly in populated places) and resultantly died, what will happen. 

To sum up, it is submitted that all of the above issues have disturbed the study schedule of the students very badly and created a panic situation among them. Further, given the time constraints, it will be impractical for the students to prepare for physical exams for this semester as most of the students and their families are COVID positive.

In view of the above, it is humbly requested to please consider conducting the final exams of this semester online.
