Students have experienced too much homework sometimes which can lead to:

Stress for the student and sometimes its parents
Bad attitude about school
Worse grades
Worse social skills

These consequences lead to one another; therefore, experts recommend a standard of 10 minutes of homework on skill level per grade. This means that a grade 1 student will get about 10 minutes of homework, while a senior student might get 1-2 hours of homework.
More homework does not actually improve your skills if there is too much, and it is too hard. Instead, it will most likely lead to stress, less sleep, more attitude, worse grades, and worse social skills.
The researchers found that first and second graders received 28 and 29 minutes of homework per night.
Kindergarteners received 25 minutes of homework per night, on average. But according to the standards set by the NEA and NPTA, they should not receive any at all.
A contributing editor of the study, Stephanie Donaldson-Pressman, told CNN that she found it shocking, to learn that kindergarteners had that much homework.
All those extra assignments may lead to family stress, especially when parents with limited education are not confident in their ability to talk with the school about their child’s work.
The researchers reported that family fights about the homework were 200 percent more likely when parents did not have a college degree.
Some parents, in fact, have decided to opt out of the whole thing. The Washington Post reported in 2016 that some parents have just instructed their younger children not to do their homework assignments.
