Why this petition matters

Dear officer,
As far as we know, the cases of coronavirus in the UK has jumped to 115 from yesterday and one death case. We all have no idea where increasing some of these cases located, I believe our students are really concerned about this problem as you are.
We know there has culture gap between UK and China, but we still hope people can wear the face mask besides Chinese, based on the situation in china, we think that is a quite efficient protective way to protect ourselves. To wear the face mask have a lot of benefits, the main reason is that it helps prevent you from getting ill and therefore helps keep you working. Specifically, it helps prevent the development of illnesses which could affect your airways which could reduce the quality and length of your life. So the face mask should not just for patients, everybody needs it. And now in Liverpool there already have 4 cases confirmed include a child, we really don’t think this is the right time to let the students go to school study, maybe we can stay at home, study online. About next week midterm exams, we think the time maybe can be put off. We are really really worried about whether there exist potential patients attending the classes.
To be honest, I’m wondering if the university will have some measures to deal with this situation, like delay the classes or something else.

BEST WISHES!

We want to study and record our attendance online, put off our exams.
