Mount Saint Mary’s University students want and deserve to have a traditional, in-person graduation ceremony due to the recent progress in the COVID-19 pandemic: the lifting of mask mandates, vaccine requirements and compliance, as well as the implementation of in-person classes, exams, orientations, and large public gatherings. 
Previous graduating classes were experiencing higher rates of COVID cases which refused them the traditional graduation ceremony they deserved. We believe that because of the previous stated reasons that we should be able to hold a live ceremony to celebrate our accomplishments. 
We are willing to provide the necessary documents to prove a COVID-free celebration. Please consider allowing us to have this ceremony.
