I am a genderfluid student and I am sick and tired of teachers and staff assuming my pronouns. This is the case for many other people as well, they just go on and assume "if your sex is male, your he/him, and if your sex is female your she/her" and no, that is not remotely true. We need to normalize teachers asking for their student's pronouns before starting school and if one is genderfluid like me, before each lesson. Teacher's misgendering or using wrong pronouns is another reason why many hate school and do not want to attend. We need to start normalizing this and possibly make it a law, especially as the number of LGBTQIA+ teens has rose recently.
