Have a Fall Break for UT Austin Students

The University of Texas at Austin currently does not have a fall break. As such, unless students have days off in their class schedule they have no major breaks before Thanksgiving. Many students become burnt out due to the constant need to perform academically.
In order to promote greater school/ life balance, UT Austin should grant students a fall break mid-semester.
A possible time for this break could be early to mid-October. A few major events occur during this time in Austin and across Texas. Weekends one and two of ACL were October 6-8 and October 13-15, respectively. Additionally, Texas/ OU weekend was October 13-15. As traveling to Dallas for the annual Red Rival Rivalry is a school tradition, having fall break begin the Thursday or Friday before the game would allow students a greater opportunity to participate in this event. They would not have to worry about missing class or traveling to Dallas at inconvenient or unsafe times.
