Going back online will be an effective plan of action for students in and out of the Santa Clara district. This will not only limit the spread of Covid-19, but it will also protect family’s at high risk of obtaining the virus. Students who choose to participate in weekend activities are not only putting themselves at risk, but could potentially be spreading the virus amongst other students when going back in person. Although, the majority of students(and teachers) who have had symptoms have stayed home, there are numerous asymptomatic cases in which someone could be carrying Covid and not even realize. This could be prevented if we revert to digital learning for a few weeks; until the surge amends, which schools in the state of California have already done.
