No more Dress code

Girls at Olympic Heights High School cannot wear ripped jeans above the knee or wear shorts because they're "too distracting" to boys. We live in Florida and it is hot and unfair to us to be forced to wear pants every day. We cannot wear leggings without our shirts being halfway down our thigh, and if we don't follow this dresscode we get a Thursday detention which is 2 hours AFTER school. Dress code is ridiculous and I understand it for elementary and middle school but high school should be the time for students to express themselves and wear what they want. Every other high school is allowed to wear shorts and leggings without a problem. It is unfair and for the coming up school year, it should be changed.
