Replace this statue in the Johnson Center!

Art can be used as a form of liberation, but on this campus it's being used to promote oppression.
George Mason University says that it has taken the "Pledge to End Sexual Violence". Yet, in the most prominent building on campus, the Johnson Center, there is a statue that unmistakably depicts sexual assault and violence against women. However one may want to rationalize it, this statue does nothing but glorify and/or make-light of sexual assault. This statue contradicts the university's goal of ending sexual violence on campus. Wouldn't it be better if there was, instead, a statue that stood for the bravery and strength of the survivors?
We demand that George Mason remove this statue and replace it with a statue that supports and empowers survivors!
Take a stand against the normalization of sexual assault and gender-based violence!
