Esports is an example of competition of different types of video games, whether it is a one on one, team or strategic type of multiplayer. Most of the popular esports games are; League of Legends, Counter Strike, PUBG, Starcraft, Heartstone, Valorant, and more. These Esports games mostly consists a team of 4 or 5 players per team, while some only need one or two players where they face each other head on. These games help each players to communicate with their teams and come up with a strategy to win. 

So why should we need to allow Esports to be a school event?

First of all with our current state with the pandemic schools cannot do or start an event that needs the presence of the student to be in the certain venue, so they have to do it virtually. All Esports are virtual and doesn't need the presence of any students to be in the venue therefore it is safe and the school doesn't have any responsibilities to handle. Second is that there are many students that may not be so bright in physical sports or not very talented but is good at playing these Esports types of games, with this they can now be acknowledge that they are good at something, if poster and slogan making contests winners can be acknowledged so should these gamers. Third Esports greatly develop the communication skills of the students, they learn how to communicate and create a strategy on how they can win the game like in regular sports. Lastly most students can relate to these Esports games because Esports are something to be called as trending as of now. 

Esports are what can be called a modern sport. It help develop the players coordination, teamwork, problem-solving and even strategizing. That is why we should get this in school events.
