If people can sign this dress-code we will try our best in our school board meeting to be allowed to wear ripped jeans without getting taped up, allow us to have facial/bodily piercings (nose, tongue, eyebrow, lip, men’s earrings, etc.), let us have tank tops without our shoulders being “distracting”. And allow us to wear corsets for either posture or coverings. And bodily tattoos. It doesn’t “distract” anyone but the people who enforce it, it’s everyday things we see outside of school and it’s normal to us. It prepares us for the real world, it prepares us for diversity, and the bigger our school gets the more diverse it gets and everyone should have their own control over what they wear. If a parent will let their child walk out of the house wearing it, as long as it’s not It’s not too revealing, it shouldn’t matter to other people who aren’t even related to you. Like why are you even looking at high school students like that? It’s not about us being “professional” it’s about control, we’re not even aloud to wear something with a playboy bunny on it because it’s “pornographic” when it’s literally just clothing with a bunny on it. The ‘Leader’s’ of our school bring religious beliefs into everything which truly is against the 1st amendment.
