Students disrespecting those who have served in the US Military
Why this petition matters
We stand for the flag today, not to please ourselves but to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. There have been more than 1.2 million Americans who have died because of war. Serving for our country so you can live today with freedom and peace. To this day there are veterans who can remember being in war with bullets flying by them and watching their friends, and family getting shot and blown up so that we could live in peace. To this day Americans stand for the national anthem, the pledge, and many songs to pay respect to those who have died and risked their lives just so you can live with freedom, freedom in doing what you are doing to this day. And the disrespect in students in this school who don't stand for the pledge or take their hats off is disrespectful to those who have gone away to war and never came back, back to their family and friends, and how some of these students in this school repay them is by sitting down and wearing a hat or hood well you are just disrespectful and don't belong in this country. And I am done with people sitting and wearing hats during the pledge, touching the flag, and disrespecting those who have served. Well, there should be a punishment for you in school for not standing and taking your hat off. And at this moment there is no punishment for being disrespectful to those who risked their lives just so you can live with freedom and I think that there should be a change, And if you agree then you should sign.
