There is a new system at my school and to me and over half of the schools population thinks it is a waste of time. This is clearly not helping because I have seen more people get strikes in the past 2 days on purpose because they think it is stupid. The schools want us to behave and act like civilized people, they should have it to where we get something in return, like letting us use our phones at least once a week if we were good. They think that a dumb cone is going to stop kids from being bad, they have clearly not met the kids at my school. It's not even like the cones are fair, because once you've got an orange or yellow cone they circle you table trying to give you a strike and they come up with any excuse to give you a strike. It's not even like they give you time to get used to it also because they should have taken it easy on the students the first day because they were just getting the hang of it, but why would they do that? Instead they don't even give the teacher enough time to completely explain it and they are handing them out like candy. I feel the need to get rid of the waist of time and just go back to telling the students to be quiet and let us not have to be afraid of getting a strike just for talking or having fun. If you want to punish students make them go to lunch detention like most schools do.
