Bengaluru has been reporting a huge surge in the number of covid cases since past few weeks. Despite having strict lockdown measures being implemented throughout the nation to avoid spread , the students and faculty of engineering colleges affiliated to VTU have been asked to compulsorily attend classes ! 
Thousands of students are attending college during this time . Many have travelled back from their hometowns , many are using the local transport . There’s a high possibility and risk of students contracting this disease! Thereby they are not only putting themselves at risk , but also their family members . 

We would like to request the chairman and committee of VTU to please look into this matter and temporarily suspend offline classes .
