Barbara Marchbanks is the Superintendent of Mcdade ISD a 1A school with very little money and resources. The faculty is underpaid especially for the hard work they all put in to try and give a proper education to the students with very little or no resources. Yet Mrs. Marchbanks makes close to $100,000 a year for doing what is appearing to be nothing other than posing for pictures every now and then to boost her image. McDade has great potential as “a small school with big opportunities” but those opportunities are being held back by Marchbanks personal financial interests. There is also a very hostile work environment within the school. Three principals quit in 9 months in 2016-2017; eight or nine members of the staff quit after the first year the high school was open. The school board refuses to listen or believe the testimonies of teachers that have spoken up at school board meetings. They blindly believe her, without question. They are wasting money on multiple trainings per year of which her husband (not employed by the district) attends all of them, paid for by the district. Up until now nobody has had the courage to speak out and those that have or wanted to were scared of the repercussions of doing so. But speaking out is the only way to encourage the beginning of changes that need to happen in order for McDade to reach its full potential. I encourage teachers and staff to email the address mcdadeisddoesntcare@gmail.com it’s completely anonymous and if you feel the need to create a new unattached email that’s okay. WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!
#MAKEMCDADEGREATAGAIN

The first step to change this problem would be the immediate resignation of Barbara Marchbanks position as superintendent.
