YONDR is a company that makes felt pouches for students to magnetically lock their phones into. For some reason, schools decide to spend around $10,000 so every student would have a pouch. 

Students will be ruining these pouches, by breaking them, writing on them, and cutting them open. They will soon be completely unusable, and the high school’s money will be wasted. 

This can also be a severe hazard in cases of emergency. If students need access to their cell phone, in an urgent matter, they will have to go get the YONDR pouch, find the base, unlock it, and then finally take out their phone to get to what they need. In addition, our high school is an underfunded public school (we still don’t have air conditioning). There are many problems that need to be fixed, but are unable to be fixed because of the lack of money, which is being spent on something completely useless. 

Schools could be using their budget way better, to solve REAL issues around campus. Sign this petition to support banning YONDR pouches!
