Ban on compulsory hair plaiting in schools!
This petition had 17 supporters
Most of the schools are particular that girls tie up their hair in double plaits. But its high time we stop practicing such old things. Young girls should be allowed to tie up their hair in different styles, just making sure they are neat and tidy.
Plaiting hair in the morning is very difficult and it causes damage to hair. Girls even plait up wet hair, due to fear of punishment which can cause serious health risks. They should have the freedom to try different hair cuts like layering, which when done, makes the plaits messy and hence difficult.
The schools shouldn't be able to force their girl students to plait and these kind of period rules should be abolished soon.
The government had previously addressed, but some schools have responded in a very disrespectful way. Action should be taken against such institutions.
Hope all youngsters and even elder people with strong and open mindset join this petition.
