Mrs. Morse was a role model for every person at Horizon. Mrs. Morse deserves more than just a memory at Horizon, she deserves a legacy. Unfortunately in four years from now, there will be very few people at Horizon who know her story. This is why I believe that we need to create an award at Horizon to commemorate her. This award will be the Sandra Morse Award for Grit. Grit was one of her most valued mantras. This award will be given to someone who displays extraordinary qualities, whether it be in academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, etc. Mrs. Morse needs need to be a part of Horizon for as long as it stands, and we need to show that she had a lasting impact on everyone here at Horizon.
