Sh Taylor started this petition to Students at Seton Hall University School of Diplomacy

Hello Fellow students,

In order to keep great professors on our campus at Seton Hall University, we must actively promote our interests in keeping them active instructors. For this reason, I created this petition, to ensure Dr. De Silva continues to teach and share his knowledge with future students in the School of Diplomacy. Dr. De Silva's vast knowledge and experience is unique in the field of diplomacy. Dr. De Silva originally got his master’s degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands, the same school the father of international law, Hugo Grotius, graduated from. Upon completion of his degree he worked with Interpol, Europol, and conducted field work during the Libyan Conflict. This field work allowed Dr. De Silva to understand the effects of conflict both on civilians and the government, most importantly, the effects on women and children. Dr. De Silva's book on Human Trafficking educates the reader about the effects of human trafficking in relation to human security. This unique skill set he holds has been shared to us and can continue to be shared to future students if he remains on the academic staff at Seton Hall University School of Diplomacy.

Please sign this petition as Dr. De Silva's knowledge and experience is rare and needed in our educational institution.
