Homecoming Court has little to no purpose. Some may even say it’s a popularity contest. An alternative could be electing a few students that should be recognized for their services to Northern. In previous years it’s been pondered that Northern’s homecoming court has not been the best representation of Northern. What is Homecoming Court? What is the court’s purpose? By choosing select students over others it may lead to students wondering why they are not enough. Which is not the mindset a Senior should be having the year before they are sent off into the world. Northern is filled with Kings and Queens. A plastic crown shouldn’t determine that ❤️
