Searching, waiting, scavenging, and eventually just walking. Am I a real live treasure hunter or am I a typical student looking for a half decent parking spot? Perhaps you have experienced some of these same things if you are a college student in Provo. There is frustration and stress that can come with the simple task of parking a vehicle within normal walking distance to campus. Brigham Young University (BYU) would significantly benefit student transportation safety, time conservation, and overall student satisfaction levels if they would create better parking structures for student vehicle storage.

Speaking from personal experience, it can take upwards of 10-20 minutes to find a legal and available parking spot. Last night, I drove around the blocks close to campus for 15 minutes and found nothing! Eventually I parked in the only place I could find and I woke up the next day with a 60-dollar parking citation. It is a disappointing waste of time to drive around in squares just to park your car after reaching your final destination. With the additional unexpected time delays, you could be late for class or an important on campus meeting (not to mention how you might upset your bank account!).
