Bloomsburg University Student Body started this petition to Students at Bloomsburg University

For the Fall 2020 semester at Bloomsburg University, students should be given the option of Pass/Fail for their courses. This option was given to the students during the Spring 2020 semester as an accommodation during these stressful, unprecedented times. From word of mouth, students have been sharing how unfair it is that we are not given this option this semester. This needs to change. Not only are we still extremely in a pandemic, but this adjustment for online classes has been extremely hard. We were given the option of pass/fail before many students were deeply affected - so why take it away now? Our  COVID-19 cases peaked, as we are the #3 school in PA with  infected students. If a large portion of the students had this virus, varying in severity - school is hard to balance on top of a serious, infectious, virus. Bloomsburg University advertised in person and hybrid options, but this was quickly taken away. As students, we understand why, but we were unaware of this happening until after classes had started. This situation is the same scenario that occurred in the spring, which is why we were given the pass fail option. I am hoping that the administration and higher powers of Bloomsburg University feels empathy for their students who are struggling to adapt.
