Hannah Wadhwa started this petition to Students and those related to Purdue University

A Purdue University student (male) was sentenced a 3 year suspension on the allegations of stalking and harassment against another student (female). This sanction was given from the Dean of Students under the panel headed by Dean Kelley Stier.

This sanction is grossly disproportionate to the alleged behavior, considering Purdue’s legal precedent and past history of bias in Title IX cases. There was little to no proof provided and the female was able to gain narrative advantage against the male.

This issue is prevalent for not just the people involved in this case, but to all of you guys here at Purdue. This is your University and the reputation of your University, and this could be happening to anyone around you. Think about all the injustices and false convictions that happen in the real world, the great deal of stress and anxiety that the person will have to bear for the rest of your life.

You will play a major role in helping resolve this at Purdue. As close acquaintances of this convicted student, we ask for your support.

In an effort to eliminate injustice and grossly disproportionate sanctions, we ask you sign this petition to send a message to Purdue University of this growing problem.
