The Issue

Tilly Brown, a dedicated student at A.B. Paterson College for the past 12 years, has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and commitment to her community. With over 100 hours of volunteer and leadership service, she was a strong candidate for a Year 12 leadership position for the class of 2027. However, Tilly has recently faced an unjust exclusion from a fair evaluation during the leadership selection process, due to apparent failures by multiple administration staff within the college.

The selection of Year 12 leadership positions is a crucial part of the students' development at A.B. Paterson College. It provides them a platform to wield influence, enact positive change, and build critical life skills. Unfortunately, the selection process for the upcoming class of 2027 appears to have fallen short of these aims, with allegations of unfair practices and lack of transparency. This situation calls for an immediate review and the reform of the selection procedures to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all students.

In 2027, every Year 12 student at A.B. Paterson College deserves a fair chance to compete for leadership positions based on merit and genuine achievement. It's essential to establish clear, consistent, and unbiased guidelines that all administrative staff are trained and mandated to follow strictly.

Statistics show that students in leadership positions acquire skills that contribute significantly to their personal growth and future career prospects. Denying capable students these opportunities, through a flawed process, not only impacts their current school experience but potentially their future success. A.B. Paterson College must commit to reversing this failure and implementing changes that uphold their educational values and produce well-rounded graduates.

Stand with us to demand accountability and reform from A.B. Paterson College. Let us ensure that fairness and transparency define the leadership selection process for future students. Your signature can help reinstate the integrity of our school community and create an inclusive environment of equal opportunity. Sign this petition today to advocate for change and support students like Tilly, who deserve their achievements to be recognised and valued.
