Call for Bath Spa University to provide free, reusable period products to students.

In 2020, all schools in England have gained access to free period provisions and Scotland approved a bill to allow free period provisions for all. Hundreds of thousands of students have admitted to missing education and extra-curricular activities as a result of either not having access to or being able to afford period products- being worsened by the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Bath Spa University has recently (December 2020) launched "personalised pick and mix packages" to provide free Spotify, Netflix, and Hello Fresh deliveries to new students. If they do this, surely they can afford to provide free, reusable period products to all menstruating students.
We are encouraging BSU to establish a partnership with Hey Girls, a social enterprise dedicated to period poverty. Hey Girls provide sustainable, reusable products such as menstrual cups, period pants and reusable pads.
BSU prides itself on its sustainability pledges. Reusable period products significantly improve waste and are very durable.
Periods shouldn't cost our education.
