At a Tenafly elementary school a 5th grade girl presented Adolph Hitler as an example of a “great leader”. She wrote in the description “I was pretty great wasn’t I?” in her project that hung on the wall of the school. The teacher monitored this project as it was written and approved child’s work. The 5th grader also entered the school premises dressed up as Hitler. The lack of action taken by the teacher and the principal to educate the girl and allow this behavior is unacceptable. A poster that is seemingly pro Hitler and seeing a student walk around dressed at Hitler with zero context is scary for many of the Jewish students. Please sign the petition to show student unity against this anti Semitic behavior and desire for a greater education to prevent further actions such as this one.
