Ever since the start of the pandemic, LIU Post has closed off the doors to the Pratt recreation Center to students. Which Was once exceptable has now gone much too far as the school continues to keep Paying students out of Pratt unless theyre athletes. In the meantime the school continues to charge us an even higher tuition and still advertise Pratt as an amenity to all students. However this is not true, the school instead shuts out their students and rents the gym out to other organizations instead in a blatant cash grab. What was once a precautionary measure is now turned into a selfish act by the school administration. College students now have to pay hundreds of dollars a month in gym memberships and gas to drive there and back, as the closest gym is about 15-20 minutes away. In a time where gyms have been re-opened for over a year, LIU refuses to open theres, and we the students have to pay.
