Laurel Hills current school journal is an A4 hardback. Half of the journal is for writing homework in and the other half is for teachers. Now unless you are getting notes and detention from teachers every single day, then half of the journal is wasted paper. The journal is too large and with students carrying heavy books and copies already, there is absolutely no need or want for a gigantic school journal. 

I would like to take it up with our principal and vice, to get a new school journal made. Preferably an A5 copy, with a large enough space for homework and ONE teachers note area a week. As well as that , there would be less Sick Day pages, because no one ever has notes from their parents written there. Also maybe less detention pages because we don't need five of them!

I want to get 500 signatures because that would be 5/6 of the schools students agreeing that our journal is too large and there needs to be change!
