Currently Valley Christian High School in San Jose is transitioning into a hybrid model of learning where students are sorted into cohorts and showing up on campus every other day. However, as a result of this implementation, some teachers are in a very tough position. They are forced to either teach in person every single day, or leave the school. During a pandemic, where many teachers must support their families and/or cannot accept the risk of in-person school, this is a cruel decision.
A beloved teacher in this position is Mr. Walls. Mr. Walls has been teaching at Valley Christian Schools for over ten years and is a favorite teacher for many students.
A test trial of hybrid-learning at VCHS is starting next week and teachers like Mr. Walls, who do not choose to teach in-person, have been asked to leave the school. Please sign to petition Valley from forcing teachers through this.
