Who doesn't enjoy their most comfortable pj's, no one; that's who. Why not celebrate homecoming in a comfortable and relaxing fashion by wearing our beloved nightwear to school? 'Merica day, although it may be enjoyed by some, won't be accessible to a large portion of the student body who may not own American themed clothing items, whereas PJ's encompass a large portion of clothing that almost all people own whether it is shorts and a t-shirt or the classic plaid fuzzy pantaloons everyone will be able to participate in the spirit portion of spirit week. By broadening our participating population, it will encourage the unified team spirit that Spirit Week aims to create between students. The wearing of the nation's flag can be seen as disrespectful. I propose that instead of tarnishing the flag, we should rejoice in the comfort of our school-appropriate sleepwear.
