Required Gender, Sexuality, and Disability Sex Ed Course for all UW-Madison Students

Required Gender, Sexuality, and Disability Sex Ed Course for all UW-Madison Students
When I was a freshman (2019), all UW-Madison student were required to take a class of there choice that opens them up to the world of relationships, sexual experiences, drinking, etc. This does not meet the communities needs. It is necessary that this class is required and there is not a choice. The class needs to a sexual education Class that is inclusive in gender, sexuality and disability. All topics that are often left out of the classroom setting.
With the variation in sex classes offered at the university most people are starting their education off with a very straight, heteronormative, and nerotypical idea of sex. There should be no choice in the topic of the course. Every student should be aware of the reality that this assumed way of sex is not accessible to everyone.
Specifically this class would be a 3 hour session that covers topics such as the common desire to have sex, forms of inclusive sex, consent, safe sex, meeting your partners needs, etc. The end goal of this requirement is to promote a community that is more empathetic towards underrepresented communities on the campus.
